Sharon Yvonne Stone (born March 10 1959) was born in Meadville Pennsylvania to Dorothy Lawson an accountant and Joseph William Stone Jr. A tool and die manufacturer who had previously employed as a laborer for the manufacturing firm. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her 3 siblings. Stone was considered academically gifted in her early years and entered in second grade at the age of five. Stone graduated from Saegertown High School, located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. Winner of Miss Crawford County, she was also a part of her first Miss Pennsylvania Beauty Pageant. Stone, along with her aunt, in 1977 moved into New Jersey for a modeling job. She signed with Ford Modeling Agency a week after. While in Europe she spent a full year in Milano and Paris. However, Stone became disillusioned with modeling and fashion and modeling in Europe and decided to take up acting while in the country. At the age of 20, she appeared in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," a film that received mixed reviews.
