
The singer tried unsuccessfully to reach record companies for assistance but things were about to alter when she met Rob Fusari, an artist producer. He was supportive of her music career and they developed a strong partnership that led to an intimate friendship. Fusari was the person who gave her her stage name Lady Gaga. It was to honor Radio Gaga by Queen which Stefani loved.
