Alves was born Rodrigo Alves on 30 July 1983 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to an Brazilian mother and her British father. Roserval Alves (her father) originates from Portugal. Alves arrived in Brazil in 1944. They started with agriculture, and later expanded into retailing and shopping centres. [5] When she was small, her grandfather purchased their Barbie dolls. Alves was born a male but she believes she could be female since her age of "three, four, five as well as six". The girl also had fun with dolls and crossed-dressed and was a fan of playing with them. [6][7] She feels people should not be defined in terms of gender. Alves was bullied and shy during her early years. Alves had to endure bullying as a teenager as she was suffering from hormone issues. Too much estrogen caused breast tissue to increase. Alves was born to a family that owns several stores of groceries in Brazil. They've enjoyed a wealth of money for a long time, however they still don't generate any revenue from the grocery stores. Alves was 18 when she moved to London to study Public Relations at the London College of Communication. The maternal grandmother of her left her cash.
