He also co-founded Methods of Mayhem, an rapper group. Lee has also been involved in solo musical projects. Lee is a supporter of animal rights and PETA. In 2010, Lee sent a letter to Terry Prather, the president of SeaWorld protesting the treatment given to Tilikum the orca. Lee thought that the orca should be released and said that SeaWorld will not allow this to happen, as Tilikum is their most important donor of sperm. Lee expressed his displeasure over SeaWorld's inept and bizarre methods of obtaining Tilikum fertilm. Lee said he was trying to prevent more tragedies like trainers dying due to this was the result of the whales' inability be held in captivity.
